Step 4: August - September

 Application of a well balanced fertilizer. It is applied at 3/4 pound of actual nitrogen per 1000 square feet and post-emergent broadleaf herbicide spot treatment as needed.

Step 5: October -November

 Application of a quick release nitrogen fertilizer to promote a strong root system throughout the winter and early spring green up and post-emergent broadleaf herbicide spot treatment as needed.
